I was trying to come up with a few concepts for potential habitats on Mars. I admit my knowledge of the technology and engineering challenges pertinent to the subject is limited, but it was a lot of fun. I really like the idea of using 3D printing robots to build a habitat on site reducing the need for materials and structural elements to be taken there. The recent inflatable module on the International Space Station was another idea. The pressure inside the unit on Mars would be much greater than out too, which I guess would help lend it some structural integrity.
